A print of one of the oldest transit maps – in the modern sense – that I’ve seen: an 1830 map showing the routes of horse-drawn, fixed route omnibus services in Paris. This map is showing its almost 200 years of age a little bit, and is not in perfect condition even after extensive restoration. However, the detailed cartography and bright hand-painted route lines make it an incredibly interesting historical map.
Available in two image sizes: 34″ wide by 32″ high (with a 1″ white margin on each side); and 23″ wide by 15″ high (with a 0.5″ white margin on each side).
Each poster is printed on-demand using fully archival, UltraChrome inks on Moab Lasal Matte, a beautiful, brilliant white, 230gsm (11 mil) alpha cellulose paper which is acid- and lignin-free. Each print is carefully inspected, wrapped in pH-neutral paper, then rolled and placed in a sturdy chipboard tube for shipping.
