A classic map from June 1918 showing the routes of the Interborough Rapid Transit Company, or IRT, one of the precursors of today’s modern New York subway system. Like many New York maps of this vintage, north is to the right. The map shows the IRT subways in red and elevated railroads in blue. Compare to this similar map from 1924.
Available in three image sizes: 52″ wide by 24″ high (plus a 1″ white margin on each side); 42″ wide by 18.5″ high (plus a 1″ white margin on each side); and 23″ wide by 10″ high (with a 0.5″ white margin on each side).
Each poster is printed on-demand using fully archival, UltraChrome inks on Moab Lasal Matte, a beautiful, brilliant white, 230gsm (11 mil) alpha cellulose paper which is acid- and lignin-free. Each print is carefully inspected, wrapped in pH-neutral paper, then rolled and placed in a sturdy chipboard tube for shipping.
