United States of Highway Shields

A cartogram that depicts the State Route/Highway shield for each U.S. state (and the District of Columbia). The number on each shield indicates the order that each state joined the Union, so Delaware is “1”, Pennsylvania is “2”, etc. – all the way up to the District of Columbia, represented by a “51?”.

Each poster is printed on-demand using fully archival, UltraChrome inks on Moab Lasal Matte, a beautiful, brilliant white, 230gsm (11 mil) alpha cellulose paper which is acid- and lignin-free. Each print is carefully inspected, wrapped in pH-neutral paper, then rolled and placed in a sturdy chipboard tube for shipping.
