Created for an exhibition at the London Design Museum, I believe this is also a functional radio as well as a kick-ass representation of the London Underground. The intricate level of detail just has to be seen to be believed. Can I have one? I’ve seen a few comments around the Internet that this piece brings the Tube Map full circle as Harry Beck was an electrical draughtsman who based his design off circuit diagrams. […]

I’ve always loved this one-off poster by designer/illustrator Erin Jang. Designed specifically to showcase her three-year-old nephew’s favourite places in New York, it’s a fantastic example of pitch-perfect design: bright, bold and colourful with whimsical illustrations balancing the geometric route lines.

Words cannot express just how much I love this cleverly thought of, deftly executed and incredibly cute rendering of Paris’ RER Line B as the Eiffel Tower. Hagiwara has drawn her inspiration from the official RER line diagram, with the bifurcation of the line becoming the “legs” of the tower.
